GX (V4) Plus Firmware 1.3 update available

A new 1.3 firmware update is available now as an over-the-air update for the following SMART Displays:

  • GX (V4) Plus
  • GX (V4) Plus (India)

This update will be available starting January 21, 2026. The 1.3 update brings component updates, new features, and bug fixes to improve display performance and management.

SMART Mirror

A new version of SMART Mirror (4.49.2) which adds macOS 26 AirPlay support, stronger and more reliable connections, enhanced moderation and broadcasting features, and expanded touchback capabilities. See SMART Mirror 4.49 for more details.

SMART Remote Management

A new version of SMART Remote Management (25.11.6.932) which delivers more accurate and reliable device information, improved network visibility, and restored Wake‑on‑LAN support.

GX Plus apps and widgets

  • Timer widget improvements: The timer can now be minimized and includes sound effects, helping teachers manage activities without blocking lesson content and giving students clear cues for transitions.
  • Easy cloud‑drive setup: Teachers can add Google Drive or OneDrive to the File Manager by scanning a QR code, making it faster and easier to access class materials right from the display.

Resolved Issues

  • A power cycle is no longer needed to resume an over-the-air download if it is interrupted during an update.
  • The wide end of the display's pen is now recognized as a finger tool when writing in Notepad on an external input.
  • Screen image interference no longer appears when the following resolutions and refresh rates are used for the display's USB-C ports: 3840X2160 59.94Hz (YCbCr 4:2:0 10 bit).
  • The accuracy of the user interface language and localization has improved.
  • USB-C Ethernet tethering can be enabled or disabled. This setting can now be controlled in Settings under Network & internet > Hotspot & tethering.
