Special notes for IT Administrators

This release adds support for SMART's new, more flexible, OTA service. It is important to prepare your network for future updates.

In addition to the URLs listed in Network requirements, settings, and configuration - iQ 4, you must add the following URL to your network’s allowlist:

If you prefer to prevent future updates, you can add this URL to your deny list instead.

To use the Single tap NFC sign-in feature, all SMART Boards within your organization must be running iQ 3.16 SP2 or later and iQ 4.4 or later, and an administrator must enable this feature on a SMART Board. To learn how to do this, see this knowledge base article.
